law & equity ltd provides quality bookkeeping and payroll services to all small businesses. Since 1986 daphne has been using QuickBooks® and Timeslips® software programs, as well as Peachtree®.
Daphne’s accounting experience began in 1986 when she first worked at a law firm applying her accounting skills to the financial aspects of legal cases, as well as performing trust accounting and billing for the law firm. She has provided litigation support in all types of cases, including bankruptcy, probate, family law, securities fraud and occupational fraud.
law & equity ltd serves the community providing consulting services, accounting, payroll services, training, forensic accounting and law office audits. daphne studied accounting at Metro State and later earned private certifications as Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) in 2006 and Certified Forensic Consultant (CFC) in 2007. daphne is qualified as an expert to testify in the areas of fraud examination and forensic accounting.
In 1993 daphne established law & equity ltd so she could provide expert accounting and compliance training to as many law firms as possible in the areas of trust accounting, billing, bookkeeping and Rule 1.15 compliance issues.
Since 2006 daphne has investigated occupational frauds that total over $2.5 million represented by approximately 12 cases. Most of these frauds were discovered during routine work or consulting engagements at small businesses and law firms during employee or management turnover, or during engagements for software conversions and training.
Daphne has taught numerous CLE programs including payroll, trust accounting, general ledger accounting, software training and support, and previously trust account school for the Supreme Court, Attorney Regulation program.
